Hydraclam

Hydraclam accesses the water main via the hydrant point to continuously monitor water quality. Simply screw the self contained unit onto any standard hydrant, push the button and the Hydraclam will sense and record:

  • Turbidity
  • Electrical Conductivity
  • Pressure
  • Temperature

Housed in a robust, submersible, corrosion resistant casing the intelligent onboard data logger also acts as a controller and ensures that a ‘fresh’ sample of water is analysed by purging to waste water from the hydrant and raiser pipe. With the use of low power electronics the system is run from a single internal battery cell enabling deployment of one year with hourly sampling. Data can be retrieved via several communications options.

Applications include: water quality compliance monitoring, as a tool for scheduling of operations and maintenance strategies, customer complaint response and water security.
